General Information:

The Alamo historical complex is open from 9:00a.m. until 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10:00 a.m. until 5:30p.m. on Sundays. The Alamo historical complex is open until 6:30 p.m. fromMemorial Day to Labor Day inclusive. The complex is closed on ChristmasEve and Christmas Day. NO ADMISSION is charged. The Daughters ofthe Republic of Texas care for the Shrine of Texas Liberty without acceptingcity, state or federal funding, and without charging an admission fee,relying solely on donations and proceeds made from their sales museum.

Requests for commercial photography must be submitted at least 30 daysin advance. Requests for toursafter hourshotel a Albufeira and/or holding receptions at Alamo Hall must be submittedat least 60 days in advance. Fees charged.

Buildings on the complex include:

The Alamo Church or The Shrine. Artifacts pertaining to the AlamoHeroes, men who died in the Battle of 1836, are exhibited in the formerchurch of Mission San Antonio de Valero.

The Long Barrack. During the Mission Period this building containedliving quarters for the priests, a dining hall, and a kitchen. The secondfloor served as a hospital while it was occupied by the different armies.This second floor was removed in the early 1900s. At the time of San Antonio'sHemisFair in 1968, the remaining first floor walls were roofed, and thebuilding was turned into a museum.

The Alamo Museum. The museum was a Texas Centennial project,completed in 1939. The building contains displays of historical portraits,documents, manuscripts, guns, coins and other items associated with thehistory of Texas and the Alamo. The museum gift shop is located in thisbuilding.

Hague cheap hotelsThe DRT Library. Built in 1950, this building contains books,documents, maps, manuscripts, art works, collections and memorabilia spanningfour centuries. It serves as a Texas history research source for a local,national, and international patronage.
